Gaston on the rooftop-An inspiration story-day day 109.2

Another 'place-so-hip-it-hurts' in my home town Ghent.
Gaston opens for the second time it's doors on the rooftop of the Galveston factory (Wiedauwkaai 52), where also ArtCube and a paintball are located.
Idea by Eric de Wagenaere of restaurant Coeur d'Artichaut (Onderbergen) and le Petit Coeur.
Pay extra attention for the XL bar decorated with more than 10.000 bottle caps. The food? Classics like scrimp cocktail,  "kalfswangetjes" with Liefmans Goudenband beer and "gebakken paling".
But Gaston has also the famous glory balls of Wim Ballieu on the menu.
This temporary restaurant opened the 4th of July and closes the 29 th of August.
Reservations at http://www.gaston-gent.be/

Open Tuesday till Friday : kitchen from 12 u. till 14 u. 30 and 18 u. 30 till 22 u. 30 - Saturdays and Sundays only from 18 u. 30 till 22 u. 30.
Half December Gaston will be back with its winter edition.

Bombay Gin is omni present. As a drink but even more as a 'blue-je-veux- decoration. It works.
Rooftop terrace with a view on industrial site of Ghent.

With very good friends at Gaston enjoying the talks, the food and the location.

Katy & Eugene.
Jules and Maui.

Louis and Iman.
