Hidden fabulous foodspot - a life inspiration story

A trip to Lille feels always a bit like being on holiday. Le Vieux Lille, as it's called, is the best part: tiny busy romantic streets full of 'to discover local specialties shops'.
A L'Huitriere is one of the best.
I fell in love with their fantastic Art Déco ceramic interior of the fish shop department. Most known for its oysters off course but we found some other, most wanted delicatessen in the window.
A bowl of black truffles ready to take-away in a paper bag.
Or what do you think about these pile of real 'Poulets de Bresse'.
The Poulet de Bresse is a most exceptional bird and the favored  of many top chefs, including Heston Blumenthal.
Try it when you have the chance.

In this lovely store you can always enjoy a gourmet nibble and 'a coupe' at the magnificent oyster bar.
In the back of the store, you have a legendary restaurant with the same name and probably the most famous in Lille that holds one Michelin star.
