Antartica Verbeke Foundation March 2010

Gasten, houden zo! We love it, just the way it is. Dont't make it a real museum. Thanks.

Hi, my name is Kate Stockman.

I am an creative, intuitive thinker & trend forecaster who believes in cross-disciplinary solutions.
I have a passion for future brand development, fashion, art and powerful through-the-line-communication.

I always had multiple sensors, ‘aerials’ or ‘antennas’ as I call them, to feel what’s going on in the world, what is coming and why.
From fashion, over design, food, modern art, communication to psychology, nightlife and science connected with nature. It always felt natural.

That’s why I founded my own creative trend company and this blog.

Enjoy.

The Squid Stories is an interdisciplinary blog magazine focusing on the interaction between design, art, fashion, shops, travel, communication and developments in consumer behaviour.

If I look at art, fashion, design and food trends, all signs direct in the same direction. We are restoring society with all the means we have.
That’s the good news.

The Squid Stories tries to catch urban and rural vibes on contemporary culture that surrounds us.
Founded in 2010, the blog started as a diary/playground/time capsule to document my inspiration-filled days and took a next step in 2014 towards Kate’s weekly report on contemporary culture.

DISCLAIMER

As my roots lie in photography, most of the pictures of this blog are my own. I’ve always been a true Nikon lover, so all photographs are taken with the beautiful white Nikon J1 or with my professional Nikon D80. Off course, being an ‘Instagramer’ of the first hour, my I-phone also serves frequently as a third black box.

Besides that, The Squid Stories carefully selects images and adds links to the original source, to give credit where credit is due. If you happen to come across an image with any missing information, please contact me to fix it.
